stop to smell the…..

I'm attempting one more spread with orange. Thanks for the feedback on the last pages. I'm observing how little orange has showed up in my life. Not complaining. I'll stick with red. Photos to follow.

Let's take a walk through my garden. Here are a few views from the yard. I've lost count of how many roses have had the courage to open up, even in the rain. 19 bushes. I think I need one more. Let's make it an even 20. Hmmmm, what color? I have mostly red. Well, not red like long-stem-rose red, more like rosey-pinkish-red. I like the color….it's a little Shannon, and a little Michelle. I have two real pinks. One yellow. One pinkish yellow. Two yellowish pink. One 'hot cocoa', which is rusty with brown edges and smells delicious…almost cinnamon. I could use more pink.

Yes, I think pink. Pink is the reason I started growing roses. But you knew that.

Your roses are beautiful! The rusty one with brown edges sounds intriguing! But, I have to say that pink has always been a rose color that I love!

Ah, no orange roses? I have to admit orange is my favourite colour in general – but I do love a deep, dark (almost black) red rose.

Your roses are beautiful as always. That hot cocoa rose is spectacular! My mother-in-law has a lot of roses lining the sidewalk up to their front door, and one of them is called Aloha and smells almost citrusy. It’s just amazing the range of colors and scents you can get from roses!

Hot cocoa is my current favorite and it is blooming up a storm in my garden. I’d recognize it anywhere! I am so jealous of the plethora of rose bushes; thank you for posting such beauty.

Your roses truly are beautiful. Maybe one of these years when I have time to take care of a rose bush I will plant one. For now I will be happy with my lilacs, peonies and bleeding hearts.

Okay, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any the color of that bottom photo. What a color!!
I’m sorry you were sick for Mother’s Day.
Those frond journal images are just yummy over the top, and it’s really generous to show them in all their stunningosity.
I used your stamps in my latest postcards, which I shared in a brief post just now, and I loved the way the crosses contrast perfectly with the ominous nature of the swap theme. Couldn’t show the back, but the bigger cross (I think it’s a Celtic cross) adorns the back and looks awesome!
By the time you read this, your NJ workshop will be booked.
