Etsyshopholidays

It's been a while since I've posted about some cool finds from ETSY.  Here are a few things I've gathered as gifts for birthdays and Christmas.  Shop now and scoop up some terrific artsy items for your loved ones.  Maybe you'll find something (like lists of somethings) you can suggest to Santa for yourself.

Etsy palomasnest

LOVE these little plates.  They are 3-1/2" inches and Caroline packs them so beautifully.  Visit PalomasNest to find a message that speaks to you or have one custom made.  And look at these lovelies from DGordon.  She has a clever thing going on – I can't wait to send!

My wish list from DownToTheWireDesigns is long.  Santa, are you listening?

And check out these earrings from SmilingSoul2 and Gingeroni1.  Pretty earrings make you feel pretty don't you think?  Such yummy beads.  Browse both of their shops.

Someday I may learn to knit and felt, but for now I appreciate being able to buy handmades from others.  How about these roses!  I bought a red one to pin to my beret.  I think I need to go back for a pink one too.  Check out GoldiesKnits.

SCOOP of another kind…. Judi discovered this Depp photo which was leaked earlier this week.  A few sites have removed the image so I may be in trouble for posting this.  I was hoping Burton's Mad Hatter might look like V.V.  I'm just relieved it isn't Wonka-like, as in the Burton-Depp-Wonka.  It almost looks Wilder-Wonka-like.

Whosmad

Anyone see Twilight at midnight?  Me neither, but it's on the agenda for the weekend.  A quick look at the soundtrack:  no HIM.  What were they thinking?  Come on, at least use Vampire Heart.

Vampirevalo

Mad Hatter, yes.  Vampire, yes.  Hippo, what?  I have been watching this trailer with great amusement.  Check out Moto Moto, the large male hippo.  You HIM fans have probably already seen it.

Ever the chameleon, tomorrow he's a birthday boy (32).

And congrats to Ingrid Dijkers for being the Top Hat pick for Crusade No. 24.  We're playing with gesso now.  Lots of cool stuff being shared by the teamers.  Come see

As a LUCKY recipient of a couple of these ETSY gems (from you), I can attest to the fact that they’re even cooler in “person”. This will be an ETSY kinda year for a lot of us. Thanks for steering us in the ever-perfect direction. Will you be my personal shopper?
Can’t wait to see Madagascar 2 and Twilight. They’re both on the list. Twilight looks like a kinder, gentler True Blood. I wonder which books came first?….
Maybe I’ll wear my earrings out to the movies. Vampires LOVE shiny things……

WAAAAAAAAA! Great post girlfriend! I am going to celebrate Ville’s bday by seeing Twilight. I too, am disapointed that there is no HIM on the soundtrack. It should be a law. Happy Birthday to OUR man…Ville, Ville…so nice, say it twice!

oh, do you LOVE those roses?
    H.B. V.V.!
Thanks for giving me my first glimpse of Depp. Is it not effin awesome that he’s doing this?! I am in love with all things Alice. My entire social and business calendar will be organized around the opening and, I’m sure, several theatre viewings of this film.
And thanks for promoting etsy. We must not ever take it for granted, just because it is enjoying success and excellence. We must SUPPORT.
gotta go get those roses, now.

    hello Michelle,
I’m glad you stroll around Etsy and show shops worth a visit… When I stroll around, I get nervous, it’s just such an amount of crafty stuff…After a while I start hyperventilating…
But you’re right, as “handmade” artists, we all should shop handmade !
I surely listen to HIM tomorrow to celebrate his birthday..
I didn’t know about the latest project of Tim Burton ! Surely something to look foreward to : Depp and Burton… always magic..
I’ve started on the crusade in my journal, but I changed my mind and make samples on tags so I have a samplebooklet…. I hope I get some done by the end of the week and maybe can post about it next weekend on my blog : I WANT to participate ! Feels like an appointment every month that once you’ve started you can’t miss…
greetings from a cold rainy / snowy Belgium

    Hi Michelle,
congrats on ville’s birthday! And heee girl, what a great shops you’ve found on etsy…. Definitely like the earrings from downthewiredesign and those ceramics… wow… i AM planning to do handmade presents for Sinterklaas (dutch party mostly for children) and Christmas.
(Doing all well here, had a hilarious moment minutes ago: I bought a christmas stamp to make cards and wanted to try it recently. But: NOWHERE…. Searched all of my stuf, sat under my studio table and searched all the boxes. NOTHING. After spending many hours searching i said: what the heck it is a stamp of 4 euro’s (6 dollars) I buy a new one. Today it arrived. I wanted to mount it on EZ mount. And what do I find attached to the piece of mount I want to use….. The missed stamp, REALLY)
    Hugs,
    Hedwig

My love of Etsy knows no bounds. Thanks for sharing your favorite finds!
And that Ville… he’s so adorable. I think it’s so funny that he’s doing a voice for the Finnish dub of Madagascar 2!

Thanks for Etsy finds, I get kinda lost when I visit and it is good to have a guide!

An envelope arrived today… my first buy on Etsy.. a glassbead-egg made by Nina Bagley’s sister Ellen !
Really gorgeous, but it’s still in it’s package, just to enjoy until I have the time to make a special necklace with it.
this is her Etsyshop Starcatcher : http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=58590
Not all her stuff is my kind of thing, but the eggs are really special !

Wonderful shops! I am happy to find DGordon’s work!
I know this is kind of “last year” but you were my first inspiration for all things French and Marie Antoinette.
I was just now awarded the “Marie Antoinette Award” on my blog and by rights you just had to be included in the list of blogs to pass the award onto!
Thank you so much for your inspiration!
