saving stories

I've been writing.  Writing down stories about how Art Saves.  I think they can be as short as a sentence, or much longer.  I made these journal pages this morning to hold some of my thoughts.  Each week I witness the power of creativity and how it influences myself and others.  In April I will be sharing my story on Crescendoh.com.  I'm already finding it difficult to choose which angle to take.  When the time comes the right one will reveal itself.  For now, I'm enjoying the process of documenting the many ways I know that Art Saves.  Have you thought about your own story?

Over the weekend a package of Art Saves loot arrived.  Beautifully packaged and great quality stuff.  Very cool to see the logo transformed from my sharpie drawing….and to see Jenny's vision in action.  Bravo girl!  Be sure to pop over to her site…new stuff there every day.

love the skinny pockts on your pages! are any of those tags tongue depressers??
at first i didnt realize that the turquoise paint splashes were not part of the pages–i liked the idea of the contained pockets centered on the larger background!

I love your pages, Michelle. I love tags and I think the craft paper pockets are a great idea! I’ve been reading Jennie’s blog and I’m a firm believer that “Art Saves”!

    Hello Michelle,
I strolled fast through Crescendo yesterday and there was so much to see and to read that I must make more time for it.
Nice page with your stories on. I like how you create with the craftpaper, the red and the black one cohesive page. I know they are your favorite colors, but it’s nice to see how you create something new each time again with these limited colorpalet.
    greetings from belgium

Your logo rocks Michelle! It looks to me like the letter “R’ is literally saving the letter “S.” It’s reaching down and stretching out it’s arm and hanging onto it’s neighbor. Good old Art. Always saving everybody.
And that Jenny Doh woman, she’s amazing. She’s totally onto something huge. Save on ladies! happy creations from tj in germany

Love these! Art does save. I’m a trained artist and an elementary art teacher. I wasn’t making art for a year or two due to some changes I my life. I started to resent my job and my students. They got to make art and I envied them. I heard about True Colors and started to collage and make mixed media art. I’ve taken lots of classes and am constantly learning. I am much happier now that I’m making art again.
