revealing…

Some recent updates.  (If you are reading through a feed you'll notice I don't approve full posts or graphics to appear so click on in.  I appreciate feed services as a way to be notified that a blog has been updated but it's my preference to limit the excerpt and invite you to come on over.)

New crusade is up, come over and play!   I've been working behind the scenes on assignment for my friend Lynne.  She had the impulse to try a slide show and before I knew it she had created 28 new pieces and some banner graphics.  We not only launched a new web page featuring these but we also got her set up with an Etsy shop where you can purchase her original art.

And because you asked for it…..

When I went in for my Shannon tattoo in May there was time for a quickie 2nd one!  The ankle ink is a repeat of a much larger one on my lower back but since I don't reveal that one too often I thought it would be fun to have it in a more visible place.

I'm not going to apologize for showing tattoos on my blog….I know some people don't like seeing ink so I should probably have posted a warning.  I don't like food photos but people never warn you before they visually assault you with their dinner do they?  😉

They say once you start….Of course I'm kidding with these.  Besides, no time for a tattoo, I'm hitting the road.  I've packed some pink socks – I know you are with me.  See you next week.  xoxo

have a fun trip!! Love your tatoos. We will be calling you the tatooed lady before long … that is on photoshop. Can’t wait to see them in real person in October. Will head over to the Challenge. Interesting since I found a “canvas clock” I created several years ago… Hmmmmm. xoxo

Have a safe trip. I can brag to everyone that I saw your tattoo a while ago!! HA! I would get the architectural window with the heartagram on your arm!

This post has so many great things packed in I’m about to pass out trying to focus:
*Clapping for your work on Lynne’s new ETSY site.
*This months crusade is fabulous!….as an artist whose signature “look” has changed (I hope) I would love to see all of my fellow TRUE COLORISTS updated work.
*Your tattoos are amazing. I’m way too wimpy to allow someone to get near me with a needle unless a doctor wrote an order. I’m lily white and doomed to stay that way.
*I know that the next few days will be rough. We ARE with you, remembering Shannon.

Hey, Lynne Perrelly’s page and new shop look great!
As for the tatoos, careful, you may turn into an “Illustrated woman” (if you want to know more, read: The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury – it’s ancient, but good!)
Oh, I haven’t seen the new crusade yet, got to go have a look. Have a safe journey, I am with you too! xo Maj

    Hi Michelle,
Love the ink. I have been yes, no about getting ink myself. I was going to get it in a similar place to your Shannon tattoo. I know you say you got it on your back because she always had yours. I thought I would get mine in a similar place because then I would always have “an angel on my shoulder” – watching over me. They say when you lose someone you love, you gain an angel you know.
Thought you might like that thought too.
    With love – Marble Blue

I love the cross and the ankle one is great!

I know I am ridiculous, but your comment about why your Shannon tatt is on your back made me cry. Must be the full moon making me soft or something…

Love the tatts and the artwork. I hope the memories you share with everyone in MN will bring you more joy than sadness. I’m thinking of Shannon a lot these days as I celebrate Kit’s homecoming anniversary.
