it’s tuesday

We've had a winged heart on our door for years.  The hook broke from the plaster yesterday….no way to repair.  I picked up a paper mache puffy heart and did some sketches in my journal to study how I might want to finish it.  I went with all black.  I have a second one that I will take more time to work on…but I had to get something up right away.  I missed having a heart on our door.

    hello Michelle,
nice hearts in your journal ! I like the different sketches you made to design your heart for the door. I’ve been looking for a favorite one, but there are different things I like in the different hearts !
Great black heart for the door itself !
    greetings from Belgium

Fantastic 🙂 I like all your ideas in your journal, but the black heart just, you know, WORKS. Do you get what I mean by that? Not just “it’ll do” kind of “it works” but an “it really does the job and does it well.”
I guess that defeats the purpose of consisely saying “it just WORKS” but oh well. It does.

…just let me fall head-first into all of your journals and live there forever, with a heart on the door….

Did the heart itself break? If not, you may want to look at the 3M Command Strips to rehang it on your door. They really do a phenomenal job of holding stuff up.

What a great idea to put a heart on your door instead of a wreath. Lovely.

In the middle of the rest of the chaos here, the contractors will be here next week to start construction on our new addition, with the crowning touch of a fancy new door with a side light (yep, I’m easily pleased)and the thought of a handmade heart hanging on it would be the perfect touch-think I’ll get on that!
