I know what you’re thinking…..

Mwardtabletop

You think you’ve seen me do this kind of spray art before.

Not like this.

Let’s pan out………….

shall we?

I cannot tell you how giddy I am!

Ta-da!

Does this rock?

Mwardtabletape

It’s my coffee table!  Come on, isn’t it cool?

Mwardtable1

Here’s how it started out this afternoon.  The little chips everywhere were really bugging me.  I started sanding and it only got worse.  I thought a little sanding would even the chippiness and give it that shabby chic look.  Wrong.

Mwardtable2

So then I got out the electric sander and it got really scary.  Wouldn’t this scare you?

Mwardtable3_2

When I wiped away all the dust it looked like this.  Gulp.  Nothing a little spray paint can’t fix.  So now what are you thinking?  Got a piece of furniture that needs a facelift?

Spray on paper, check.  Spray on clothing, check.  Spray on furniture, check.  Spray on mini-van?  Hmmmmm.

p.s.  did you spy the heartagram?

You are so totally cool to make a table like this! I must say that of all the “art blogs” that I read, this is my favorite–I can’t wait to see what you will come up with next!

a little hint. Now hand sand with 220 grit sandpaper exposing a little wood on the sides then rub the entire table down with either dark or light brown(not black) briwx. The wax creates an incredible finish. (But do a test sample first)
