winter games

I can hardly wait for the opening ceremonies starting in a few minutes.  Spectacle at its very best, don't you think?   Go Team USA!  I prefer the winter over the summer.  Love the skiing, the skating, the snowboarding.   Growing up in Minnesota, and skiing at Buck Hill in my home town of Burnsville, I wanted to be a jumper.  I also wanted to be a ballet skier.  Thinking back – I was just lucky to have spent so much time on the slopes.  It's a pretty expensive sport now.

I think Vancouver could have used our snow.  It was beautiful – the recent storm.  Loved having two *free days* from the usual routine.

I can totally see you spinning on the slopes. The New York Times had a fashion shoot last Sunday featuring designers creating the Uniforms…Rodarté does male figure skating?……swoon.
    Happy Heart-O-Gram Day Sweetie!

Ahhh, Buck Hill…Oh how I loved thee. Surely we were there at the same time at least once. I had such a crush on Ed the ski lift guy, kept in contact with him for a long time. Heartagram Hugs, and Happy Heartagram Day!

I really enjoyed the poetry slam about Canada last nite and finding out from Brokow what good neighbors they are. I love Vancouver.
Today is the anniversary of falling in love with my hubby and tomorrow is VDay so we’re gonna stay in tonite – so much more romantic now that we’re empty nesters! Now I better go make some heart art for him.

    Hello Michelle,
    So much snow !
We may not complain here too : normally we don’t get any snow or just once, but this winter we have several days of snowing and the snow stays for days. Today it has been snowing again : not much, but enough to have a white garden again and not getting me out of my slippers whole day…:)
Love it to see the white garden and being warm inside in the veranda and be busy creating (almost) the whole day.
    greetings from belgium
    Inge
