A beautiful, slow falling, silent, large flake snow blanketed the day. Perfect for staying in on a day off, watching. It wasn't until evening that I tried to snap a few photos for a journal page I'm working on. Snow, like fireworks, is hard to catch on film. The gloriousness can't be freeze-framed like a smile or a flower. But we try anyway, to remind us of the experience. What we see through the viewfinder isn't always what we get in print. Sometimes there is an unexpected surprise.

It looks like marshmallows on the tree, with the top right one looking like a star. How cool! Thx for the cousin info…

Bokeh even! 🙂

What a gorgeous shot ! While winter ain’t my favorite, I certainly cannot deny its beauty ! You captured it all right !
Hugs ! -
I SEE THAT YOU HAVE ‘ORBS’ PRESENT IN THAT PHOTO!!
-
I love the photo! The snow was so beautiful coming down at my place yesterday – big wet flakes. Our snow was hit and miss. My place got over an inch and only 3 miles down the road next to nothing. I love Bonnie’s comment – YOU GOT ORBS, baby. Love the “star!”

You got a *wink* in there!…amazing!

Oh, how beautiful Michelle. And we all know who sent down and added that snowlight wink for you. xoxo

Fabulous 🙂 A perfect hello.
And btw, could you send some of that pretty snow our way please? We’re freezing down here and with nothing to show for it… 😉 -
Michelle,
You make me like snow again–which is hard work considering I left me car on a corner for a week and got snowed in by two snowplows! This snow looks gentle and soft and only wants to gently lay along the branches and would never pile up in icy piles!
Thanks for the lovely picture. How do you get such good ones of such difficult subjects–snow at night, fancy store windows… -
great pic Michelle! and thanks for the tip on the Poe-stage, I had no idea, and now I’m so excited!!!!!

I don’t know where I’ve been, but this is a neat photo; it reminds me of Kansas City snowy nights. When I saw the post title it made me think of a couple of your pages in the current Artists’ Cafe, which I have seen before, but they are always a pleasure.

Night shots…not easy, but you did it.
Look, there’s a circle logo floating just outside your window!
