tues times two

MWRubyTuesdayBanner

I worked on pages last week, but never uploaded them, so today I'm showing two spreads.  I've enjoyed playing with the spheres – this time with color.   To work with xeroxed images it is best to water down your acrylic paint, then iron dry before attempting to cut.  Way below you will more peeks at the Bergdorf Goodman windows that inspired the pages.

I promise to show more of the windows soon!  Had a wonderful day with friends in the city Saturday.  Andrew guided us to places I had never been like the Chelsea Market, and the High Line.  So fun to be with creatives!  You get used to visiting the same old destinations, then suddenly it is like a new place.  I was worn out, and trained it home many bags of goodies.  Thank you friends for a real blast.  Pictured here:  Katherine, from my much-talked-about-favorite-place Valley Ridge, Beryl Taylor, and Andrew Borloz.

    Michelle-
Love, love,LOVE the sphere study, especially #1. I would love to take that spread and just insert it into my journal!!! This is definately something I could get my head into. I am with Lisa, though…I just want to run and jump into playing in my journal. Currently attempting work in my Christmas journal. I will really need to think of something for next year….maybe more dedicated work in my street journal. Sounds like you have some fabulous things planned for us!
    Until later,
    Judy

I love, love, love your spheres–you always have the best images, I wish I had you library of references . And I love that you ironed the painted images before cutting out; another Ward addition to my bag o’ tricks. Thanks as always.

    Hello Michelle,
WOW ..; really interesting pages. I love these spheres and what you have done with it !
Although the second page spread is more in my colors, the first one is my favorite. Don’t know exactly why ?
I especially like the toner transferred images; but the cut outs ( what a work you’ve done) layered on top of each other create that lovely “see through”
what do you mean by ” xeroxed images” ? Is it that you put glue on the back by running it through a Xerox machine ? Then paint them, when they are adhered on the big paper, iron them and then cut them out ? Is this the way you did it ?
It must be a blast to see these Bergdorf windows for real.
    greetings from Belgium
