the learning curve…..

Whew boy!  I have been a lucky girl!  I am writing this post from my new laptop….and added details to this photo using a new version of photoshop!  I am trying not to let the learning curve of these devices make me crabby because it's all good.

Yesterday Fallon and I finally made it into the city to see the Bergdorf Goodman windows.  We shared the experience with two treasured friends, Bonnie and Anne.   What fun it was to be there with artists….we were supposed to go earlier in the month with Lisa but I got sick :(   I have alot of editing to do before the photos are ready to present.  This year Fallon was the photographer.  If you get a chance to see the windows in the next week or so (before they change them out) do it!  If you can't make it then check back here in the following days for Fallon's perspective.  You may remember my posts from last year HERE, HERE, HERE, HEREHERE, and HERE.  A sneak peek of 2009…….*swooooooon*.

Hope Santa was good to you.  No coal here, that's for sure.

“Painting the roses red” – I love it! Sounds much better than our Christmas windows in Melbourne – they were about a pig family celebrating Christmas….hmmm…
And you all look SO cold! It’s hard to get my head around that when it’s warm here – not dark until after 9pm.
All the best for the New Year!

Next year….(or the next)…. I’m going with you, end of story. Soooo good to see Bonnie! I’ll have to fill Julia in as well, we adore her. Looks like a fabulous time, missing you… xo

Lucky Girl! I got a laptop for Christmas last year and can’t imagine life without it now – know how exciting it is. This year I got an Iphone – love it! Yep, I know – spoilt.
Funny to see you so rugged up when I am celebrating the fact we got air conditioning in the house just in time for Christmas!
Painting roses red – sounds like something you would do – or would they be pink? Am guessing a possible Alice in Wonderland theme…. can’t wait to see the pics. You get such amazing window displays where you are – the inspiration you must get from visiting them……

The theme as we leave Christmas 2009 behind seems to be gratitude all around – how perfect is that ? So glad you received some extra good Christmas love for that deserving heart of yours. Enjoy the play !

Oh I can’t wait to see Fallon’s photos. I do remember the windows from last year. How delightful to visit them this year with dear friends. It is also wonderful to have a photographer as it is often hard to enjoy something and take photos at the same time — they are two totally different experiences. Have fun with your new laptop. Happy New Year!!!

How wonderful that you and Fallon got into NYC to see the windows with Anne and Bonnie. *cranes to look over shoulders and overhear comments*
I was so spoiled seeing the BG windows every day when I worked in New York — how I miss them now! Thanks so much for bringing them to all of us. It doesn’t matter how long it takes. Even one of these beauties will light up our winter.
And thank you, Michelle, for another year of wonderful ideas and inspiration. Wishing you all the best in the New Year.
