thank you

MWrosebud

Thank you for your expressions of sympathy this past week.   I am touched.  As you can imagine it’s been a difficult time and it’s sometimes hard to see through my rose-colored glasses so if I’m not around it’s to spare you my moodswings.  I have a few projects that offer distraction – we are planting pink rose bushes in memory of Shannon this weekend in the backyard.  Actually, there are many rose bushes being planted across the country as one good idea took hold and Shannon-love is being spread.

And I have something I’m working on where you could help me out – I will post about it soon.

Michelle, I am so sorry for your loss…I had been checking in sporadically throughout the summer and noticed you were unusually quiet, how sad to find out the reason for the silence. The rose bushes sound like a lovely testament to love; may the project bring you some peace and happiness.

Sometimes it’s hard to know what might ease someone’s pain or lighten a hurt, so whatever it is, just ask.

Shall I then plant a pink rose Bush today….I will go look for one. Sorrow like an ocean comes in waves. For those who have experienced loss no further explination is necessary. Take time, we will wait.

Oh Michelle, what a wonderful idea to plant pink roses. Unfortunately it is not the right time to plant them here, so for now I will dedicate the one I already have in my garden to Shannon and you. Take all the time that you need. Good luck with your projects and I look forward to hearing all about what you have in mind for us to help you with. Keeping you in my thoughts, Ursula xo

Anything we can do to help, just say. I think roses are a great idea – they’ll last a lifetime and beyond.
It may seem like bad timing, but I had to give you an award that came my way, because you are such a special person. (((hugs)))

I have a pink rosebush in my backyard that I now call my “Shannon Rosebush”. It has always been my favorite because it is so bright and brings a cheerfulness to the yard like I’m sure your dear sister brought to your life. You and your family are still in my prayers. Wishing you peace of heart and mind.

    Michelle,
I’m very sorry to hear about your sister. We had friends years ago that had children with CF and have attended many fund raising events. It must be very difficult for you and your family.
Seeing the photos you have shared, very much shows how much joy you had in each others company. You will have that memory forever. Peace to you and your loved ones.
    Karen
