table scraps journal

If you picked up Art Journaling then you've seen some of the pages from my first Table Scraps Journal.  Over the next few days I will show you more.  It began as a purge of debris on my work surface and became one of my most favorite things – an obsessive quest to put to use all the scraps and remnants from other projects.  I had so much fun I started two more – all made from broken down cardboard boxes that have sitting around.

Did you hear the good news?  Art Journaling had been semi-annual and it is now going to be quarterly.  Yay!

Super cool Michelle, I love using the scraps. After one of the workshops I taught, I gathered all of the things the students thought were bin fodder and created some wonderful pages in my journal.

What a great idea! Far better than throwing it all away, which I hate to do! Thanks, Michelle!

Michelle, the article is really one of my favorites. I love the faithful reproduction of your work. I say this without having seen it in person, but seriously. The colors and textures are so rich! And given that I’ve been practically immersed in your work for years, I think I’d recognize a lame reproduction if I saw it! In any case, using cardboard boxes you have lying around? I could make hundred of journals! Oh, if only I had as many table scraps as you do!
    wait…
    I’ll MAKE SOME.

Yum-oh! I hope you are bringing it to Valley Ridge so we can see it in the flesh…
And I hope you’re in the process of battening down–I’ll be thinking of you over the weekend.
