ruby tuesday number five

I almost missed it!  Five minutes until Wednesday.  I'm sorry I missed saying Happy Thanksgiving to all….I caught a bug.  No, not that one, a different one, and it really knocked me off my feet.  Still managed to have a good visit with my parents.  Today's pages are about getting prepared spiritually for Christmas.  Easy to think about on December first, especially as Advent just started.  As the month marches on the pressure tends to build and the meaning can get blurry.  Trying to maintain my perspective….putting out the Nativity set is always my first ritual.

I always try to leave at least one thing unfinished in my journal.  It helps me to jump right back in when I have the chance to play again.  It's a good trick, try it! *wink*

Fantastic RED! I’m having trouble getting in the spirit, but I’m easing in slowly. Do you have another beautiful Advent calendar this year?

Happy Belated Thanksgiving, Michelle. I’ve been gone for a while, too…battling a persistent bug, too. Your sketchbook pages look great! They remind me of tall cement walls in a city, with layers of old graffiti crumbling off the surface. I’m curious to see what you do with them next. Hope all is well with you and your family. 🙂

I really like the idea of Ruby Tuesdays… and now it’s stuck in my head… “Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday!” Can’t even remember where that song originated!
I’d like to try and be so organised so I can work on fabric once a week, altered art another and keep painting meantime! I’ll let you know if I get there, and if I don’t cross paths with you beofre, Michelle, have a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year. xoxoxo

These pages look great – though their colours remind me of the German national flag … That´s why I´d probably add pics of graffiti on the Berlin wall or something like that 😉 However, I love this unfinished look!

    hello Michelle,
I wait to get out my Christmas stuff until the childrenscelebration of Saint-Nicolas is over here in Belgium. On sunday the 6th is his “birthday “and he’s the one that brings presents to the children here. I think the event of Santa Claus is based on this European celebration.
I like the background in your journal : just scraping with paint ? Sounds easy, but lovely effect.
    greetings from belgium
    Inge
