Does anyone know if the Sizzix folders are bendy enough to go through the pasta machine?  You have to be able to flex the folder.  I haven'tseen one in-real-life.  Chime in if you know.  Kiitos.

This is really cool Michelle! I have a pasta machine just like yours languishing somewhere. Hmmmm, you’ve given me some ideas here 🙂

The Sizzix folders are almost identical to the ProvoCraft Cuttlebug folders. They should work through the pasta machine. I use the actual Cuttlebug machine, though. Thanks for some awesome inspiration for using my embossing folders.

Yes, Sizzix folders will go through my pasta machine which is a brand called Al Dente. I opened the rollers as far as they would go and still got a really nice deep impression.
Did you know that you can smear/pat a rubber stamp pad on the inside of the folder and it will transfer the ink to your tag? It works best on the female side of the folder giving you a colored background around your embossed pattern…
You have way too much fun, Michelle. I can’t wait to see you at VRAS, Nancy

This is such a better use for a pasta machine than what I used to use it for…making pasta! Carrie and I have a Vagabond, but this is just the coolest idea!

Yesterday I just started bidding on a really sad and ancient broken-down looking German printing press. But now I think I just need to get my booty to the kitchen store instead! LOL…
    Awesome!! xx tj

Well, this is genius – love it!! I took a printmaking class earlier this year, since then I’m always looking for new ways to ink up and print, but I never even thought of trying monoprints from embossing folder items, COOL.

    Michelle,
You are always so inspiring. Just thought I would chime in. Did you know if you use T!m Holtz Embossed Grungeboard it will change the texture from whatever it was to whatever embossing folder you have? Of course you know that you can sand the raised areas, right? Also you can easily emboss metal tape or triple layered aluminum foil…and they make a fleur de lis Cuttlebug folder. just sayin.
