It was a great night, following a weekend of continued home improvement. Daddy scared the pants off trick-or-treaters at the door with his Slipknot masks. Sam is perpetually Uncle Sam. And so cute at it - thankfully he doesn't get the unwelcome and unfunny remarks that people in the street feel compelled to say – political stuff. Peter pretended to be from Slipknot too (for the unaware – they are a heavy metal band from Iowa). And Fallon was perfect as Lydia from Beetlejuice. I told neighbors I was a poem….The Raven ;)

You all look fabulous! And you’re not going to believe this… for a friend’s Halloween party next weekend, I was going to be a raven and Mr. Pocket was going to be the speaker from The Raven (a la Vincent Price). Unfortunately the party has been cancelled, so no Raven homage for us!
Also, I’d be happy to be Sam’s bodyguard and punch those people in the face. I only hope that since you’re up there in NJ and not down here right in the DC area it’s not quite as bad as it is here in the middle of politics.
Happy belated Halloween! -
Great costumes!! And I love Fallon’s Halloween table!
I did not want Gretchen to win PR – she was so fake and unkind all the time. Mondo’s clothes were so well made and so awesome! I loved how he mixed patterns and his use of bright colors! -
Happy Halloween Michelle !
The slipknot masks are indeed scary : I can imagine the fright people show when he opens the door !
Nice to see the little decorations in your halloweenhouse : I spotted also Jack 🙂
No halloweenparty this year at our house : I went with a friend to the sea for a girlsweekend from friday until yesterday.
We had some halloween in Ostend, one of the cities we visited, but we enjoyed the peace and calm in De Haan, a seacity that breathes the period of begin 1900.
I’ll post about the beautiful houses, the place where Einstein stayed for 6 months,…in the coming days.
greetings from belgium

Perfect, Oh Fabulous Wards!
Heavy Metal scares the hell out of me, so Slipknot(s) would have caused a total melt down around here.
Uncle Sam? I love it. Why change a good thing?
Lydia, oh…one of my faves and you, my Darling Raven, A better costume?…nevermore. -
Lydia Deetz…. brilliant!!!!
