more B&K

More pages from my Black&Kraft journal.  I've prepared a tutorial on Constructing and DeConstructing cardboard as a journal for Stampington's blog.  See that HERE.  It's a companion to my column in the recent Somerset Studio.  In the right sidebar albums you can see more of my cardboard journal pages.  (If you're reading through a feed, click HERE for the album).  I need to get it updated, but there is alot to see there.  Sneak peek below of some stencils that will debut soon 😉

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!  I had a terrific week of celebrating – a good start to a year of being 50!  And the roses are now in full bloom – hundreds of them came out this week.  I'm a lucky girl.

Only six weeks until CREATE NJ kicks off!  I'm preparing lots of stuff for the workshops and vendor night.  Hope to see you there!!

Michelle the third image just rocks my world – seriously. There is something about the details and contrast that really speaks to me. Love it. You rock!!

When I turned fifty – I changed my email signature line to “Life after 50 positively sparkles!” and wow did it!
The best ten years of my life up to when I turned 60, two years ago and life is still plenty sparkly! Have a blast! Love the cardboard article – the red, black and white are even more classic on the kraft. Simply brilliant!

I so want to know your secret for getting the cardboard peel aways to look so neat! I have been lucky to find ONE small piece of cardboard that tears clean (no little wisps left behind at all!) But do you have a secret to it? Or just go slow and then take the time to peel the ‘wisps’ off? I would love to know … I am obsessed with your work using cardboard, lol.

I assumed and I would LOVE to take your class. But I cant! I dont live close enough lol. Are you going to release a book … or even better an online class or pdf to reveal the secret? I know several people who want to know also and would pay for the class or ebook. Please??!?!?

Ohhh the memories of the Debris Journal workshop! I absolutely love your Maltese cross pages in particular, but that’s probably no surprise coming from me 🙂 I see you’ve found an alternative to the contact cement/tyvek binding. Great idea, and I think I might get some and play with all kinds of applications and projects. Really wish I was going to be able to come to Create this year. I will miss you and your teaching!

Finally got some play time and made a cardboard book…. what fun! Thanks for the inspiration, as always.

Carrie – I will miss you this year too! Yes, duh! Figured out a better way to bind the journals. That’s what happens when you keep at it…the answer reveals itself.
