Happy Easter Michelle, your post is a wonderful way to start the day! I am off to church in the rain, but your lovely work will be on my mind like a ray of sunshine:-)

Beautiful Michelle! The perfect juxtaposition of the dark and the light — and yes, the days were (and continue to be) so different. One sombre and serious, the other light and joyous. A joyful Easter to you and yours.

Dear Michelle,
Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! I love these words from the Armenian service and this year particularly. I tried to keep Lent–giving up something that really meant something to me, not chocolate or TV (I can take or leave either and not feel a thing). I gave up buying books–a real sacrifice to me. So I knew the joy of the forty days ending and being done, and I was giving up things! I can’t imagine knowing for forty days I would be killed. What a sacrifice. Your Good Friday piece is striking and the Easter one so uplifting. Celebrate! Happy Easter. -
Happy Easter Monday! Did you know that this next cycle in the liturgical year (for Catholics) is the 50 days of Easter? I posted a new mandala and reflection for Easter on my blog. It was a beautiful day, windy and chilly, but beautiful.

Your Good Friday and Easter work is beautiful and reverent. Thank you for sharing your childhood church experiences! You grew up Catholic, right? Being Irish, I imagine so, but one never knows… Anyway, I hope your Easter was a beautiful one!
