just the ticket

Wow.  You have blown me away.  I am touched by how many of you have come by to leave your words of encouragement and cheer for my sister.  I can’t tell you how full my heart is – bursting!!  Here’s another cool thing:  yesterday my blog experienced an astonishing number of hits.  Like off the charts hitting four digits.  What does that mean?   Why yesterday?  Not sure, but my inner radar thinks that many of you came back to read and re-read the comments….to make sure we had gotten to 65…..to observe the momentum of gathered souls who created a positive energy force.  I know this:  if I ever feel like I need a pick-me-up, I’m coming back to that post!

My report is that Shannon was able to visit the blog yesterday and began reading your messages.  Unfortunately she has to stand at the wall-mounted computer and couldn’t veg out at leisure to scroll through them all but I’m sure she got to them in segments.  Makes you appreciate the comfy viewing from your seat right now doesn’t it?  I think I will begin the task of printing them all out for her to tuck away.

I know it meant alot to her, and her husband Andy, and my Mom who was there when she first hit the blog.  THANK YOU for this.  Thank you.  YOU are the "Ready for Anything Players" and YOU rose to the occassion.  *blows kisses*

I am reminded of something my grandmother always said to me – you reap what you sow. You are always so giving and inspiring, you deserve much more than double of what you give in return. (I hope that makes sense – I can’t quite get the words right this morning). This blog is living proof.
What you have done for your sister is truly amazing.
    Until later,
    Judy

But did Shannon say anything about me?

Actually, I did come back often the past couple of days to see how it was going, and it was very rewarding. I am a major cynic and I’m often proven wrong in this, because of course an extreme on either end is not reality. So it was once again so great to see my silly assumptions about the faceless mass of humanity proven incorrect again. Everyone was so giving and articulate and honest, and took time out of their day to post something that was obviously heartfelt. It not only shows how well you, Michelle, are regarded, but also how we artists and crafters and bloggists do care and hope and wish for the best for others.
Your street team accomplishes the same unifying and enriching purpose, and I love visiting there. Anyone who hasn’t been there, go NOW.

I’m just now finding this post and wishing that I had arrived on time to add my wishes to the throng. Curing CF is a cause close to my heart. I’m a proud member of the Little Rock Art YaYas, and one of our most rewarding activities is the Jennifer Project–a quarterly delivery of “goodie bags” filled with entertaining, crafty bits for kids at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. We hear that weeks in isolation are pretty freaking boring for the little ones. Reading your blog has reminded me…maybe the Jennifer Project needs to expand to include CF adults! And WHY isn’t there hospital wi-fi for patients? REALLY!

I am so touched that you requested my presence for good cheer. We are MN sisters through and through. My Sissy and I are super close, so I can relate. I have been touched by CF as well in my life, and am also a CF carrier…this could be my Sister! Love and hugs to your lovely sister and you!

    Oh Michelle,
I’m way behind reading blogs..so I just discovered your latest blogs. You’ve been in worries too the past weeks !
I know CF is a serious disease, so you’re sister must be a strong woman!
So, me too,I wish her strength to overcome difficult times, a lot of support so she don’t have to carry her worries alone ( I know she doesn’t..) and I’m sending her healthy air from Belgium so she can breath as freely as possible.
My only sister died 15 years ago ( on the day my daughter was born…) and I still miss her… To anyone who has a brother or sister they love, I would say, enjoy the time given !
Even when you can’t be with each other fysically there can be contact in so many ways just to let each other know that you love each other.
Your idea for the comments for your sister was ( is !) great and I’m sure she will read the support over and over again, knowing that her sister started this !
I love the hooded photo of you both ! Being silly together.. fun !
    greetings
    Inge
