it’s one of those days….again!

MWmoresnow

Third snowfall in less than three weeks.  First 22", then 3", and now I'm guessing 10".  Very beautiful.  Kids got the day off – yay!  Love my neighbors.  Rob and Lisa blow the snow and lay the salt.  MaryEllen and Mark permit Peter to park in their drive.  We all gather to sweep off the cars, clear the sidewalks and driveways, and enjoy the company of being-in-it-together.

Warming up after with toast and cocoa….my toes are stinging….wondering what to do with this *free* day.  There is a long list of things I should do, but a snow day always trumps the list doesn't it?  I'm thinking….I may indulge in making my own slider art.  What's that you say?  Check out this….we discovered Jay and Marilyn at Chelsea Market during the Jingle thing.  He makes the coolest sliding art.  AND he sells kits too.  Visit their site at www.morphicism.com

Seriously, can you stand how clever this is?  Gotta get it hung up this week.  I went out of my mind swooning when I realized what he was onto….I love movable art.  I did a turning piece a few years ago….remember this one?  So I nearly fainted when I learned Jay had kits too – what a generous offering.  I'm off to start rolling out my ideas.  Again, visit www.morphicism.com

Stay safe and warm.

So cool. I’m wondering how it would look if I bought the kit and put in photographs. Happy snow. We had 3 inches fall Sunday and got 2 snow days out of it. Miss you and hope to see you this summer.

Michelle, The very coolest thing, and so you! I hope you got a kit to play with as well, I’d love to see what you would do with it.
I hear your pain about the snow; it’s pretty to look at but a pain to get around in. I guess that means all the more studio time… Have fun

Just been fighting off floods here, snow seems a world away (well, it is 1/2 a world away).
I watched the video at Morphicism – kept saying “ooh” and “wow” so much, hubby had to lean over to see what I was looking at – tehehe
Thanks for sharing this. LOVE IT! How do you always manage to find this cool stuff?

    Hello Michelle,
Enjoy the snow ! We had snow for days and weeks but now it’s all gone : my daffodils are already peeking out of the ground because of the temperatures, but that still can change !
When my son Aran was born 20 years ago in the end of february we had snow…
I do love snow, but I don’t like the cleaning and clearing to make going outside safe…:)
I really like the sliderart !
It’s a genious idea but the artwork itself in the black/ white/ grey is really , really nice too. It would even fit in my colorful house…:)
I wonder what yours will look like !
I think I’m going to buy some : surely one for my mom to add her drawings/paintings to !
Thanks so much for sharing this art !
    greetings from belgium

Love your “new” photo – to me anyway, sorry I haven’t been around much. Now that things are calming down I will be back lurking and stalking you. Can’ wait to see you again in Wisconsin in the fall. Hugs, sweetie, Marlynn

I had the pleasure of popping into their studio/shop in Beacon, NY when I was visiting friends. (Beacon is a cute lil’ gem of a town, btw!) And I almost bought a piece just like the one you bought! It was definitely my favourite!
