Heavy Lifting ~ Heavy Breathing

You saw his products at Target this past xmas.  His paper cuttings hanging from the ceiling.  Raise your hand if you asked for the displays?  I did.  Turned down.  I did score some of his paper garland – used some on packaging but saved the remainder for my spray stash.  Just released: the long awaited book!  Very huge, very juicy, very visually inspiring, as you would hope.  Get it at amazon, you’ll save a few $$.

Don’t you love that he shows himself with his own temporary tattoos?  Crazy dude.

Lisa turned me onto the Swapp masks.  Very Boontje-like don’t you think?  (Maybe too close)

You’ve seen the influence of his style surfacing in many arenas, now you know where it originated.  Tord Boontje – you rock!

EDIT:  Have been browsing through the text and learned Target had a chance to launch TB clothing.  Dang!  Target, what were you thinking?  Maybe we’ll get to see some eventually, but I want some now!

Just bought the first issue of Somerset Life at BAM and loved the article – Show and Tell – about your blog. And just got the new May/June issue of Somerset Studio in the mail and what a great coincidence – I just received my new rubber stamps from you (Painted Ladies) and there is a whole article with artists using the egg stamps – “With One Stamp”! YEAH!

Oh la dee dah….I’m off to the bookstore, or Amazon or maybe just leaving a billion post-its around as a Mothers day reminder….
BUY ME THIS BOOK. Subtle enough?
I’ll credit Miz Sarah Fishburn for getting ME hooked on the Heidi Swapp masks. I have such naughty (and diabolical) pals.
Thanks for the FAB book review Michelle!

It never occured to me to use my Tord garlands as mask/stencils! duh!! thanks for sharing your cool ideas. I confess, though, it will take some arguing with myself to cut the gorgeous things! I still have them out and haven’t been able to bring myself to take them down after xmas. And I LOVE the Heidi Swapp masks! I hunted them down a while back and bought every one (except holiday themed ones) I could find. I use them all the time, mostly in dying paper towels, papers, etc. With little ones running about, I may have to wait until another lifetime to experiment with spray paints 😉

Check out this blog entry I saw by Patty over at River Bend Ranch. http://ramblingrose.typepad.com/journal/
She is using the local taggers to spray paint in her journals for her.
