The tears are still very near the surface at the thought of being without my sister.  But I can manage smiling, and even laughing at happy memories.  Today, on the second anniversary of Shannon's death, I am claiming, once again, that She Mattered.  I share with you just some of the photos we took together on the dock at our family lake home.  These make me giggle.  Hope you'll share a grin with me.  I will add them to my Sister Journal this weekend.

    what great photos! you are lucky to have kept all those pics of the two of you together! now when you need to talk to her you can open that page and know she hears you! You are so fortunate to have had a sister. I always wanted one but no such luck!

    Thinking of you today and all week. I think two years out is harder than one. I remember her smile, her laugh and her generosity. But as I told you in MN, her sly sense of humor was the best. Whenever I think of bringing Katharine home, I think of Shannon. Love to you and yours.

    I am touched by your friendship with your sister and your loss. I make leather wrap bracelets on etsy and someone had these words put into a bracelet and I thought I would share them with you.
    “When you remember me, it means that you have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are.
