feels good!

Not going to show you the inside YET.  It's still in-progress but nearly done.  Feels so good to shake off stuff and declutter, organize….and rediscover some of my supplies!  When I'm short on surfaces to work on there is always the trusty clipboard, one of my favorite studio tools.  I clip under a page I'm working on – sometimes one under each side.  They keep my pages flat which is especially nice if there is something lumpy on the previous spread.  I can cut right into a page with my exacto, the board acting as a cutting mat too.

During the clean sweep my eyes were opened to just how many clipboards I have accumulated.  I won't even admit to how many scissors I have *grin*.

I do admit I'm a terrible put-away-er.  Mail bins seem to multiply in my studio.  No more!  No fines for me. (The U.S. Mail bins clearly warn against misuse of postal property.  I'm returning these today.)

Most of the trash bags left on Friday but more will go out on Tuesday.  Dude!  I'm nearly done!  Who wants a tour?  Bribes required.

I just bought my first set of clipboards, I was going to hang them on the wall to hold fun stuff – and then I stuck on in my bag. I’ve been using it for a week and I’m in love with it! I can see from your stash, I will find more useful things for this product. 🙂
Looks like you really cleaned! Good for you!!

I wanna see !!! My room, I have a mess on my hands and it is so bad, I swear it would be easier to bulldoze the room and start over again……….
Last week, I was so short on room I literally sat on a chair and worked on my lap. That is just so so sad…So many are not lucky enough to be able to dedicate a whole room for themselves just for art purposes and would love to have this space and here I go junking it up! I just want to DO art, I don’t like the bother of replacing everything knowing full well I would just need it all again tomorrow.
Please let us see inside your art space……Some of us need HOPE ! You always give us hope Michelle.
    Love from a distance! xoxo

I need inspiration. My room is so crammed full and disorganized that I have to seek a path before I can get in. The table is covered and the chair is full. I’ve got to get things cleaned out and put away.
Show me pictures for inspiration…I’ll be glad to send bribes. Would some of my throw aways work for you??

I’m actually laughing outloud @ the clipboards…I have a few things in my life that I can relate to that, not all art related. Let’s see, makeup (uh, I don’t THINK I have that color and get home and have 3 already) and even food in the pantry that I didn’t know I still had. I know, bad bad bad. Kudos to you for making this big of a dent!

I can’t wait to see what your studio looks like! I have to say that seeing inside studios are one of my all time favorite things.

Wish I had even half that much organization. I have my stuff spread over two rooms and have to empty them both out before putting them in order–now a third room is needed! And we only have 6 rooms to begin with–can’t really claim half of them. What kind of bribes do you like? I really want to see your studio. Do you get _Studios_ from the Cloth Paper Scissors people? They have some good articles on clearing and organizing art spaces and loads of great pictures.

Too funny with the clipboards-I always buy them at rummage sales & have a stack within reach-and they are sooooo useful!
Can’t wait to see your new studio! Didn’t even know you were getting one-that’s how out of the loop I’ve been! A week from today, I’ll be back on a short leash (the medical kind) and can keep up with everyone again!

It feels good to do this, fresh energy will swirl about your studio now.

Must see the end result….maybe Aprés company?
The clip board suggestion is priceless.

I know you do not do the “blog award” thing, but I gave you one anyway. I love your blog and you have been so sweet I had to include you.

Great tip on the clip board idea! I will have to try that! I also have about 4 – 5 postal bins. I won’t tell if you won’t!!! 🙂
