I'm a sucker for punches. LOVE this one. It has the new clever option of setting for two different outcomes. One adds a border to the edge of a page. The second yields a freestanding border with more detail. A quatrefoil – swoon! I was so excited to put it to work that I made some quick tags….the stamped images came straight from one of my new sheets. You'll see I didn't even cut it out…item number shows up.

I have other things I should be doing but this recent acquisition has me distracted. Do you do this too – pull out some supplies to test drive your new toys? No purpose, just play?

That’s just way too much fun, and I have a Michael’s coupon… Just not enough time. Oh well, something will have to move over. Got my new stencil today. Can’t wait to play. Have a good weekend

love the new stamps….love the punches…love the tags (I’ve been making tags as well if yo want to stop over and see). I did volunteer for Special Olympics once long ago and loved every flipping minute of it. I need to consider doing it again. Bring the kids along as well. Oh, and the carving article…opened my eyes…changed my ideas of carving. I never thought to carve something simple of an outline of a stamp I love. Your creativity never ends.

Michelle, I read your tutorial on stamp carving and was INSPIRED!! I dug out my carving tools and a carving block that I have had for at least 5 years and carved my FIRST STAMP!! I just hand drew a poppy flower, stem and leaves and was off and carving. It’s about a 3 inch stamp and took me less than 30 minutes. The block cut like butter–think it was Staedtler (too lazy to comb through my trash!!). My first impression was perfect–I am so excited!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
P.S. LOVE the punch…I see a trip to Michaels in my future!!

Yeeeaah, I’m gonna need to find one of those.
I haven’t carved a stamp in a while. I think it’s time I did another one 🙂
Oddly enough, when I sit down to make something, I tend to want to walk away with something I feel is finished. I’m not good at just experimenting for experimentation’s sake.

Oh, my ears and whiskers!! Michelle, this is reminiscent of the stencils I got from you the other day! (but not as purdy) And it’s an awesome punch. I love my M.S. flower punch that is for borders or whatever it’s called, you know, the one where the sides unfold and you can punch a whole border?
Dont’ mind me. It’s almost time to leave work.

Good Morning Michelle!
I am a sucker for punches too, I am always buying them and ALWAYS saying I need to stop. But I have access to both Michaels and JoAnns and they always have coupons.
I have a couple of these punches at home and love them, haven’t had much time to play with them, have high hopes though. I have this one and the one with the rose…maybe another one but not sure right now, I’ll have to look when I get home. Maybe when I break out the new stamps (yes, I did receive them and no, did not email to let you know they arrived safely *hanging head*)
I also bought a couple of those all MS all around (or over) punches, need more practice though, they don’t always come out with the all over (or around) design intact.
Loved your article in the new Somerset Studio! As always, it blew me away. But I think your journal pages are my favorite. The final piece is always spectatular but those journal pages….to die for! And as usual you have me thinking and planning and wanting to do more. I think I need a plan for more time!

I love your stampington article on home made stamps. love the ones you made. I also love your new punch very much!It really goes well wtih your new stamps. I bought them and I am making myself a gothic arched journal wich will be filled with them.Thanks for the inspiration.
