deja vu

The boxes of socks are piling up and I feel like I've seen the scene before.  It hardly feels like it was two and half years ago that I had three large pink bins filled with 700 pairs of pink socks in our living room.  We are nearly at 200 already!  I think we're gonna need a bigger boat!  Look at all the love for Japan!

Thank you ladies!  Such great looking socks for everyone in the family – men, women, kids, and babies.

Another deja vu moment:  I've been revisiting the House Book I began teaching in 2002.  I used to sell the kits but then I dropped it from my GPP site.  Thanks to the oh-so-talented Pam, who showed a wonderful video on her blog of her gorgeous completed book, there is a renewed interest in the kits.  Since I have lots of supplies left I will be assembling and uploading to my Etsy next week.  *waves to the visitors who came from Pam's site*

    Michelle-
Wish I were there to help you assemble the books! But alas, I am here….
I will have to keep an eye out next week, I just may have to buy one(or two).
    Been thinking about you….
    Until later,

    Hello Michelle,
what a great call for support you do here on your blog again. I’ll see how I can add my piece to this project !
I just visited Pam’s site to have a look at her book : it’s a real treasure for future generations.
Did you assemble all the pages? I really like how the pages/ pieces flip over left and right, the acrylic pages in between,…
    greetings from belgium

It’s great to hear that so many socks are streaming in, and I’m glad to be part of it!
I watched Pam’s video of her fantastic House book. Save a kit for me – I want to try it, too!

    Hey girlfriend!
I had every intention of participating in the March Challenge, and all of a sudden it was April 3rd! 🙁
Thank you so much for your very kind words about the mosaic tiles… it was terrific fun putting it together! And I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you posting about the need for new socks for the Japanese quake/tsunami victims… I emailed the story to my husband who can buy wonderful wool socks at wholesale and then decided to ask him to contact his supplier in Minneapolis to see if he could get the entire company on board… we’ll see where this takes us! I know that, at the very least, we will be ordering socks and sending them ourselves, thanks to your catalyst post! Other than donate money, which we’ve done, I couldn’t think of any way for me to directly do something to support the quake victims. I’m really grateful for the idea and gentle nudge to do something more. Once again, you ROCK, girlfriend!
    xoxo

So cool to see all that sock love all together! Little acts of love that will touch people in little ways. Just feels good.
How fun that you gifts from the past are resurfacing again through Pam’s work! Enjoy the visit back home. 😉
    Much love, Michelle !
