When I'm in the midst of a project I take over every flat surface within a 20 foot radius. The floor is cluttered with debris, piles of materials are stacked everywhere, and my hands are filthy. I have been seen at the local pizza place, picking up dinner with paint covered fingers. There is paint on my shoes, the phone, the carpet. Evidence that I'm a slob….but I'm working. Nothing beats digging in and doing it.

Yes!….one of my promises to myself this year is to become more prolific. I gave up on “resolutions” because the word just freaks me OUT. Messy Hands just HAS to be the hallmark of PROGRESS MADE and what cool stuff you have created! this is why I can’t seem to maintain a manicure…and proud of it! Thanks for showing us more Magic. Inspiring.

AMEN!!! I am happiest when I have paint and/or ink on my fingers, and it actually makes me smile when I’m at work and not all of it has washed off yet. Some of that stuff is tough! My mom bought a scrubbie thing to get her hands clean in one wash, but I refuse. I like that it takes several hand washings and a shower and several more hand washings sometimes to get all the ink to fade away. Then I know it’s time to make more art and soak up more ink again 🙂

I am renovating my studio and remember saying to myself, never again! never making these piles of messes again!
So, of course, I’m working on the living room table now. Chaos everywhere.
