another milestone

This kid is going to prom tonight.  In two weeks he'll be graduating.  Where did the time go?  Send positive vibes that the rain stops before our photo session.  More later.

    Michelle,
Cute pics…..I can’t believe he didn’t do more to stop you from posting these on your blog. Boys just do not find these things amusing!
It was hard to believe when my son graduated, it was a very hard time for me…a couple of months after he graduated he was off to school in Arizona.
The first in your nest to start spreading his wings and flying!
Congratulations to both of you…him for graduating, you for seeing him through it all!
    Until later,
    Judy

I remember him so well at that age. We traipsed around some weddings together, he was always an explorer. He’s still a cutie. I hope you get some good pictures!

My son has 2 daughters. He was the cutest little boy ever. I hate to say it. Maybe I am a bad Grandma, but I think he was cuter than his two daughters. And I feel like he was born yesterday. I hope he has a great prom.

    Isn’t that fun?!
Ready to see the tux! or Suit! What do they go in now? Trunks? hmmm… Oh, that’s California prom night.
Actually, it’s been raining here on and off all day. HA!
See what a nice man you raised up?

My middle son just went through all of this. He did do everything he could to help his poor mom cope:-) They look so handsome and grown up in their tuxes.

So handsome! My oldest son had his prom too last month and throughout all the photo taking, I was okay. Then just before they left, he walked over and gave me a hug….yep, I cried then! He’s graduated and will be attending Univ. of Rochester in the fall. It will be an adjustment for sure. I really enjoy your blog Michelle, you are very talented! In recognition, I have an award for you! Please visit my blog to get it. Cheers!

Come ON!!! How insane does this make you feel? A kid going to prom…. I really don’t think we’re old enough to have kids that go to prom… LOVE the corsage w/the black and white…. can’t wait to see more!

    Oh… I completely understand the feeling of a milestone…
I didn’t have that feeling very much when my eldest son Freek graduated two years ago . Graduation is not so “official” ( with tuxedos and proms ) her in Belgium : they do celebrate, but not on such a big scale…
But when Freek turned to be 20 years old pàst week… thàt really felt like a milestone for me… 20 YEARS…I wàs emotional, but when I read the previous post… I think most moms are…:)
Me too, I like the “shoe”photo the most… this tells a lot about how he felt that moment…
Are the corsages made from “your” roses ?
Enjoy your kids and I hope they don’t fly out too fast….
( Freek is now in his second year at university and he went up and down every day, but a few months ago he asked if he could go and rent a studenthome next year… I cried … I really want to let him go and be on his own feet, but I just love having him around every day… I can’t complain cause he will be home every weekend and it is just half an hour drive from home…:)
    greetings from Belgium
    Inge
PS : did you succeed in making the “magic card” with the instructions on my blog ?
I made one for Freek too for his 20 th birthday…

You are entirely too young and beautiful to have this handsome young adult as a son, Michelle! Why do they insist in growing up so quickly?
    Sigh.
Thank heavens WE don’t age. 😉
Wonderful photos! Congratulations to Peter on prom and graduation.

Oh they look so adorable!! My DD just had prom and graduation too, it’s amazing isn’t it? She’s loving every moment and feeling just as she should – ready to take flight and make life her own. I love it.
