From one of our favorite bands, My Chemical Romance, at www.SingItForJapan.com:

Dozens of musicians donated their time and talent to help bring this song to life.  To complete the video, thousands of fans across the world submitted video, artwork, and pictures to show their love and support.

Using classic Japanese themes in the orchestration, we hope we have honored and paid tribute to the people of Japan. All of our proceeds from the sale of this recording goes directly to the American Red Cross.

    Loved the picture of Sam, love that he loves band-aids.
    This picture made me think of putting band-aids onto to the problems of the world, and what one band-aid I could apply, what one little bit I could make better.
    Thanks for dealing with all the socks.

    Wonderful, wonderful! So glad the socks arrived and so happy to see so many pairs — and how cute are those handknit booties? Thank you again for taking on this great project!
    Sam and his band-aids made me smile. Is he donating a box to go to Japan?

    Tears rolled down my cheeks watching My Chemical Romance video – then went straight to itunes and bought it.
    What a beautiful world we live in where complete strangers all come to together to help people through such unimaginable circumstances. MCR have gathered their fans together to help make a difference. And you are doing the same with all of us. I think it is wonderful how the street team is supporting your efforts for the sock drive. Thank you for trying to make a difference and for encouraging us to do the same. Sometimes we all need a little nudge to look outside our window- to look out at the world – to look beyond ourselves.
    Am grateful every day we did not suffer much damage in our floods here in Queensland and so grateful that we are not suffering civil unrest, earthquakes or tsunamis – all of which are happening somewhere in the world right now. Feeling blessed. Grateful. Grateful. Grateful.
