having a ball

I've been playing alot with circles – in both photoshop and the messier kind of art making.  My table is covered in them.  I'm having a ball.  Moving things from my to-do list to the ta-da list.  It's not quite the 11th hour but I am chasing down a few lifelines before company arrives next week.  I love being in this phase of the creative process when the little voices chime in with opinions.  They can veer me in directions I hadn't considered so I listen closely.  Can't show you what I'm working on yet.  Soon….

I love what you do with Photoshop, Michelle! I have Photoshop Elements and I haven’t gotten very far with it. Hopefully, over the winter! Can’t wait to see what you’re working on!

Okay, you KNOW I’m trying to imagine what music you’re listening to.
I’d probably be listening to Irish music, maybe Kila. But I’m not even Irish. so what the heck?
    looking fwd to the reveal!
have a great time with your guests!!

To do list to Ta-da list! I love it! I’ve been a listmaker all my life and adore that feeling when everything’s crossed off. Often I’ll add things to the list, after I’ve done them and then cross them off.

Thanks for coming by my friends.
    Margie – soon soon 🙂
Maryanne – winter is a good time to get started, be warned: it’s addictive.
Chris – “Here Come the Sun”, by the Beatles 😉
Erin – the ta-da list is empowering, offers validation of accomplishment. I love to save them as reminders of what has been done rather than lament what didn’t get done. I did a post on to-do/ta-da here: http://michelleward.typepad.com/michelleward/2009/01/today.html

This makes me think of two different oldies songs I used to love when there were real oldies stations on the radio playing good oldies. Red Rubber Ball by The Cyrkle and Rubber Ball by Bobby Vee. Anyway…
Spheres have always been one of my favorite things to doodle, because it amazes me how so little effort can give such a great effect. A tiny bit of shading and wow.
GOT to make a ta-da list! I get so overwhelmed by what I’ve got lined up to do, counting what I’ve gotten done would probably help a lot.
Can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store!
