how does your garden grow?

It's been six years since we began planting roses in remembrance of Shannon.  While today's anniversary brings a tear, I am also filled with joy to have been blessed with such a sweet sister.  I will never forget your arms wrapping around me when I needed it most, thank you.  Here are two of the four walls of roses, and evidence of their rampant growth.  I never imagined they'd grow taller than the fence!  Reaching toward heaven…..xo

What beautiful roses, I remember reading your post when you planted them. Roses were my sister’s favourite flower too, she passed away unexpectedly last November. I also have a beautiful rose bush that I planted in her honour, I hope it grows as well as yours. xx

Your roses are beautiful. I can’t believe it’s already been six years that you’ve been sharing your growing tribute to Shannon with the rest of us in pictures. Anyone can see that it’s a labor of love. *hugs*

Six years? It does not seem that long ago when we gathering pink socks to send to you. My heart and soul knows that Shannon is aware of everything you and others have done in her memory. She is still close and you know she sends you messages all the time. She gets you as you “get” her. That is why you two can still communicate soul to soul. Hugs to all.

They are beautiful and their flourishing, I think, says much about what they symbolize. My thoughts also went to the pink socks, finding it hard to believe it has been six years. Sending love and admiration for you as such a loving sister. xo

Maybe them flourishing so well is a sign. That Shannon is still with you, growing with you, shining her light towards you. I remember sending socks when you first had to say goodbye. I sent those socks to help you honour her but also as a way to send a part of me to you across to the other side of the world. To send you warmth and comfort, to send a physical sign that my heart was aching for you, I know your heart still aches. But I hope it also remembers and reminisces with joy. That the flowers that bloom and the deer that visit make your heart happy as well as reminding you of your adored sister and that she was taken too soon. XO
